		<description>E-books are commonly perceived as offering great potential for learner support but also as struggling to compete with print due to poor on-screen presentation, restrictive licencing and limited range of titles offered. The experience of a group of Irish university libraries shows that, with the right combination of product and subjects, e-books can thrive among students and faculty, while librarians can create more dynamic, relevant and flexible collections than for print.</description>

		<description>Couldn&#039;t agree more, Helen. The only time I really come back to earth is when forced to use a desktop email client for work (GroupWise). I now use GMAIL for all my other email addresses (yes I own several!)as I have integrated them all within my main Gmail account so that I can access and send email from anywhere I can use the internet, instead of having to rely on being able to use the relevant ports - on work computers for example. Google is my friend for most things but am also a huge fan of http://posterous.com for link blogs and auto-posting everywhere. Twitter, blogs,Dropbox and Facebook tend to go without saying of course!
